How much space does Great Wraps require?
This is a huge strength for us, because we can make full use of spaces ranging from 250 ft to 1000+ ft, and anywhere in between. The reason for this flexibility is we offer you BOTH our full cooking (i.e. hood) operation where we truly leverage fresh cooking, AND a hoodless operation when venting is not possible. With this flexibility, we can truly maximize any viable airport space.
Does Great Wraps make money from my store opening suppliers like so many other franchises do?
Definitely not! It’s true that many food franchises expect kick-backs from their architects, equipment suppliers, contractors, etc., which increases your store opening costs. However Great Wraps' company heart is in a different spot; we've chosen our approved vendors strictly because they are honest, dependable and competitively-priced. They have the experience you’ll need to successfully launch your Great Wraps franchise on-time and within budget.
With labor so tough now, is the operation simple to learn, and operate?
As a successful airport concessionaire, or DBE operator, you know that proven systems are always the key to a successful operation, and Great Wraps has just that. Our two-week Training Program is extremely thorough and easy to follow, and we provide thorough in-store training prior to your grand opening. Once open, we provide constant follow-up training and instruction. We’re sure you’ll find Great Wraps a simple business to operate, and our support systems incredibly effective.
What are the store costs, and capital requirements?
With your experience in airports, you know those locations are more expensive than streetside. That’s why you’ll need existing liquid assets (i.e. cash) of at least $200,000 and a net worth of at least $750,000. With that, you are then well-positioned to approach the Lender to complete the financing of a Great Wraps within the range of $400,000 - $750,000.
I already have a food franchise, is that a problem?
Of course not! We greatly respect and appreciate being in a strong food portfolio managed by your team. However, once you see how great we are to work with, how simple our operation is, and how easily we build our customer base, don’t be surprised if you get the sudden urge to shift your food expansion efforts towards Great Wraps in airports. After all, there’s a huge opportunity for growth with our airport-centric menu and operation, and essentially no competition for this “sweet spot” in airport dining. We can literally go into any size space, hood or hoodless, and deliver impressive volume across three dayparts.
Does Great Wraps allow any menu variances to capitalize on local opportunities?
Great Wraps depends on brand consistency to fuel success, but we also recognize that certain areas have local food favorites that may present unique opportunities for additional volume and profit. Our goal is to assure brand excellence, and we also prioritize maximizing your volume, and financial return. So, we’ll start with our proven menu of proprietary excellence, and look at additional items ONLY if it brings you definitive additional returns.
Do you provide financing?
Great Wraps does not provide direct financing. However, we will assist you in obtaining financing through our third-party contacts or a financial institution of your choice.
How do I get my store built?
Our Store Development Team will work closely with your approved architect, contractor, subs and airport authority to make sure your store opening as easy, cost effective, and hassle-free as possible. Once we sign our Agreement, we will provide you with a complete Restaurant Development Guide that contains all of our design, construction, and equipment specifications.
How soon can I be in business once I have executed a development agreement and located a mutually accepted site?
Once a solid airport location is secured and approved, we can move as fast as your contractor and airport authority are able to. However, our experience tells us that once you secure the space, design, airport-approval, permitting and construction will take 16 - 30 weeks to open your store in the airport.
How much is the Franchise Fee & Royalty?
Understanding how expensive it is to open in airports, we’ve adjusted our Franchise Fee for airports to $7,500, and the total royalty is 4%. The Franchise Fee for opening in a high-quality streetside location is $24,000, and the base royalty is 5.5% plus 0.5% brand development royalty, for a total royalty of 6%.
